Quick service within 3 hours of initial contact. they came around 6pm and didn’t try to overcharge even though it was past 5pm. Cleared the mainline in my apartment building and advised tenants of the problem. Would definitely do business with again. They seem a lot more eager and willing to accommodate than other companies I called. Thanks for the quick service, would def do business with them again

Cali Rooter & Plumbing has the best, most honest guys around. They didn’t overcharge me, they got the job done quickly, and they were very transparent with all the steps they were going through. I had a funky smell from a possible leaky vent. I got quotes from several other plumbers (who wanted to rip apart my bathroom from the get go and charge me extra for construction+). So I decided to go with Cali Rooter. The solution ended up being a lot simpler (wax ring around the toilet base was broken) and it didn’t require opening my walls. They’re the only plumbers who figured out how to access my vents/piping without opening the walls to diagnose the problem- which saved everyone time and money. I’d recommend them to everyone since finding good service in LA is so DIFFICULT.

It was late in the day (4pm) and the two other plumbers I contacted that were more local to my location did not have availability until the following day. I called Cali Rooter and described the work I needed – install a new water pressure regulator. I was given an immediate, fair, and reasonable quote over the phone. Cali Rooter arrived promptly and completed the work even quicker. Awesome! They are now my go to plumbers. Period.

John and his team are phenomenal. As a rental property owner, I need someone dependable and fast; someone I can trust, someone willing to come out at a moment’s notice, and great at communicating with myself and the tenants. And most of all, someone who knows exactly what he’s doing. He has saved my butt several times over, and I highly recommend him especially for the most complicated jobs.
Take for example two weeks ago. On a Friday evening, I received a text from a tenant saying there was raw sewage coming out from one of the clean-outs. I called John and described the situation. It looked really bad … sewage everywhere on the driveway. He gave me a prognosis of best and worst case scenarios, and told me that everything would be ok … nothing that he’s not done before. Within an hour, John was at the property doing an inspection even though it was already dark out. From the initial inspection, he said he’d need to return the next day to do a hydrojet and sewer cam to see where the back-up was, and then he could tell me what needed to be done. The next day, bright and early, he hydrojetted the sewer line and discovered that it was broken in several place and sent me several photos. The sewer cam photos looked really bad, and there was now even more sewage everywhere on the driveway from the hydrojetting. I wasn’t sure how I’d clean up the mess. What should I wear? However, I was extremely grateful that John’s team cleaned up the sewage after doing the inspection and leaving for the day.
John recommended underground sewer replacement, which would save us from from tearing up landscaping including most of the driveway, a deck and new privacy fence. It also saved on manual labor, and enabled him to complete the job in 1 day. John arrived with his crew on a Sunday, with 7 or 8 people and two vans! I was a bit shocked by the manpower. The crew spent most of the day digging through concrete to make 3 huge trenches to access and replace the old ceramic sewer line. They then pulled through modern plastic pipe underground. By early evening, I had a new sewer line, and I was relieved to see the team busy patching up the trenches with new concrete. I was really impressed by their quality of work, the fact I didn’t have to deal with any BS, and how quickly they could get things done.
John will always be the first guy I call if I have another plumbing problem. I’ve used other plumbers before: what has often been the case is that they give you a prognosis of the situation, they start to do work, and then the problem quickly escalates into something much bigger than what was anticipated. John will tell you how it is in the beginning so you know what you’re getting into, and if a hiccup does come along, he will take care of it. I feel extremely grateful that I found him.

Needed an emergency plumbing for our Pizzeria main sink- and Cali rooter was able to come out within an hour of calling! They were able to snake the sink and get us back and running very quickly! They were also very friendly and knew exactly that they were doing. Had everything cleaned out within 10 minutes! We will definitely keep Cali Rooter &Plumming as our main contact from now on. Thanks guys!!!!
