Finding these guys was complete serendipity!
My usual plumber flaked on me. Moments later I was in the phone with my boss telling him about my flakey plumber and he had JUST had Simon out at his house fixing his bathroom pipes. I called them immediately and John sent Simon over immediately to help me.
Simon fixed my clogged kitchen sink in no time and I asked him if he could also do my bathroom sink while he was here. He snaked that, pulled out a lot of muck and I was so pleased to find out that they didn’t charge me extra for an emergency Saturday call. The next day, as my apartment’s pipes are so old and corroded, I noticed that my sink in my bathroom was dripping underneath. There appeared to be a small hole in the pipe. I called Cali immediately and they said they would be out there ASAP to fix it. I said no worries as I was at work and they could come later. Simon came around 6ish and left around 10. He made two trips to Home Depot and would not give up until he solved the problem. He showed me pictures of the pipes which are old and disgusting and what he had to do to get everything in working order. I loved his persistence, his knowledge, and his drive to solve the problem. I felt horrible that it took so long and that it was keeping him from his family, but he was so sweet and just as a professional would, did whatever it took to fix the problem. I deleted that flake of a plumber from my phone book and Cali will forever be my first call and recommendation to everyone.

Many many thanks to all of you Yelpers who steered me to John at Cali Rooter & Plumbing!
– The scene: 1923 bungalow, 850 sq ft, 1toilet, 1 tub, original cast-iron drainage pipes; that’s everything under the house.
– The time: a Saturday afternoon
– The horrible event: Toilet clogged, sewage in bathtub. Yuck!
Called three plumbers I’d used in the past, “We can see you Monday.”
Yelp to the rescue. Called Cali Rooter & Plumbing and a very nice person asked whether 5:30-7:30 pm would work? YES!!!!!
John, he was so very tired from a full day of housecalls, but he was totally calm, quiet and professional. Oh, he smelled good, too. The problem at hand was addressed in no time!
So…. I decided, why not discuss what this poor old bungalow really needed, replacement of all cast-iron pipes. He offered an extremely fair price (significantly lower than someone with high overhead and advertising costs), added discounts and set a date for a few days later.
He and his crew did a great job, cleaning up the work site when finished, too. I’m thrilled. He’s now in my Contacts list. Thank you John, My Hero.

I called Cali Rooter do clean out my main line drain. Simon arrived in half an hour and did a great job. I was very happy with the work and the clean up. I would definitely recommend Cali Rooter. Thanks for a great job, Simon.

Cali Rooter did an amazing job with our plumbing issues for the kitchen in the new townhouse we just moved into. The response time was immediate and they made sure to make the visit work with my busy schedule. It is a breath of fresh air to experience excellent service these days and I’m just glad all my concerns are now taken care of. Couldn’t say enough good things with how satisfied we are with their work.

Had an emergency situation last Sunday. The whole house was backing up. (I mean not a single drain was working, toilet included. Total nightmare!)
Called Cali Rooter, and they had a person over in like 20-30mins.
The guy came, looked at the issue… turns out my main drain was clogged with roots. He ran a machine and pulled out a ton of roots. Totally cleared the blockage.
Would recommend Cali Rooter, ask for John (he’s great, and very professional). Thanks a lot guys
